What makes Paynter Chiropractic different?

Hi, I’m Tim and I’ll be your chiropractor at Paynter Chiropractic. What makes my treatments/care different is my understanding of health and the human body. This understanding changes not only each individual treatment but how your treatments will change over time to achieve your goals of decreased pain or increased function.

I have been in the Health and fitness industry for more than 20 years. This began with studying my first degree in sports and exercise science whilst working in personal training. During this time I learned the importance of exercise for both preventing and rehabilitating injuries whist developing an extensive array of exercises to prescribe depending on the individuals ability.

Next I studied my Master in Chiropractic degree which gave me physical therapies which can reduce/manage pain. It also changed my philosophy around pain and preventative health. Chiropractic is an excellent tool to create a window of opportunity to start moving/exercising again.

After completing my degree I started working as a chiropractor but I still has a lot of curiosity about what goes wrong with the body to cause pain and dysfunction. I also developed a keen interest in nervous system disorders. So I started studying clinical neuroscience through the Carrick Institute. This gave me extensive knowledge of the human nervous system and managing/rehabilitating its disorders. I also became well versed on managing/treating disorders relating to vertigo/dizziness. I was tested on this knowledge and completed my exam to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DACNB). I studied numerous other complementary courses after this including the Functional Neuro Orthopedic Rehabilitation courses (FNOR).

So, what makes Paynter Chiropractic different? It’s not just chiropractic, instead its a combination of pain management and rehabilitation techniques built over years of academic learning whilst practicing. These tools include dry needling, low level laser therapies, motion guidance laser based proprioception training, soft tissue work, chiropractic adjustments and home rehabilitation exercises. I have always wanted to deliver the best care for my patients and this is reflected in my commitment to continuing development and learning to be at the leading edge of pain management and patient care.
